Default Rear end leaking solution?

So I've come to realize that my stock posi track axle is leaking gear lube and it's puddling in an unusual place. I think I've pin pointed where it's coming from. It looks to me like it's leaking from the two press in? Button like plugs on the housing. Anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this? I was thinking of just getting them welded along with the axle tubes. Any insight would be great.

Or you can replace the press in buttons....however it could be your imput shaft thats leaking thats more common then the housing.

Clean it up good with some solvent and a wire brass brush, on a drill. Then go to your local auto repair center like autozone or someplace and pick up some two part epoxy sticks for sealing fuel leaks. Mix the two sticks together and press into place and form over the leaks. smooth it up nice and overlap the plugs by about a half inch or so. Problem solved.

I highly doubt that its leaking through 1/4th inch piece of cast steel...if it did you would need one sooner then later anyways....
I can almost bet its coming from the input shaft. blow back and the spin off will make it pool right next to the buttons.

if you replace an entire rear axle for that I would be glad to take you on as a client

The thing is I checked the input shaft. It is dry. The truck hasn't been doing much driving except in an out of the barn.

Aren't those weld spots for the axle tube housing? If so, I would say it may be possible for a good welder to close them back up but how difficult is it going to be to get all the residual out. I would say either get a new housing or just don't worry about it and service it once in awhile.
