Question on Rear Diff.
I would like to understand the difference on how the traction works on different types of rear differentials. On my Ford truck with open diff., when traction is lost on right, the wheel on the left will spin. Assuming that means that the power is transferred to the left wheel, why on some vehicles, will the right wheel spin while the left wheel remains stationary? What's the difference and exactly how does tracloc work? Thanks.
