I got a '91 4.9 straight six and lost first gear the other day. I mean completely gone. anyhow, i'll gonna hit the local junk yard and try and replace the tranny, but i'm not sure exactly which one or ones will fit? I speculate there are quite a few that will work, but I thought i'd start here first. any help is much appreciated.

 

88 thr 96 is the same on manual.
