Default OEM Engine/drivetrain mileage

Let's start a thread on the subject of OEM drive train - engine and trans - miles. I would be interested in getting some ideas on what others are seeing on their OEM drivetrains.

I have a 1994 F150 XLT with 5.0L and EO4D trans with 200,000 miles without any issues or breakdowns or major overhauls. It just turned 200,000 miles. It burns a little bit of oil but I change it every 3000 miles with new filter. I also change the trans pan fluid every other oil change - I installed a drain plug on the trans pan. I got the truck in Oct 2001 with 69000 miles and it has been well cared for. It has been on the road since Dec 1993 and it was used to tow a john boat by an old man. I got it from him so I am second owner. So what mileage are others getting on their 87 - 96 trucks?

My '89 has like 108k, I got the truck in 2015 with 60k on it. Engine, trans, and diff are all still in great shape. I've never torn into the engine, the most the trans has seen is the extension housing coming off for a new speedo gear and slip yoke bushing, and the diff cover has only ever come off for a fluid change. I did put a clutch in it several years ago, and when I first got the truck it had a surging issue. I didn't have diag skills at the time, so I went with the parts cannon method which ended up causing more headaches when one by one, all of the cheapo sensors that I unnecessarily replaced began to fail. They have all since been replaced with motorcraft, and I haven't had to touch anything other than normal wear and tear items within the last five or so years.

My '90 was originally bought as a parts truck, but it was in better shape than I expected, so I kept it. About 240k on the clock. Engine runs great, but the E4od transmission needs to be replaced. I have to almost drive it like a manual to get it to shift, whenever I am accelerating, I have to let off the pedal for a second at every shift point, otherwise it slams into gear. And when I replaced the trans filter back when I first got it, there was a horrible amount of metal in the pan. But in the six years that I've had that truck, the trans hasn't gotten any worse. Engine runs smooth as can be. The only hard parts that I have had to replace since I bough it are one tie rod end, water pump, MAP sensor, core support, and all of your regular maintenance items.

The '94 Bronco is the headache of the bunch. It has had a rough 140k mile life. For every one problem I fix, two more show up. The engine is tired, it smokes, the 2ng gear synchro is wearing out, the rear end whines, the front end is loose, it's rusty, it's noisy, the interior is falling apart, 4low doesn't work, but it's my snow beater, so that's all okay.

I got my '88 in 2015, with 182,000 miles on it, confirmed by the MVA, when I registered it.
I'm at 195k now.
I've had it on the road for one year. I daily drive it, along with another vehicle.
I don't think the engine has ever been apart. It does look like somebody did the water pump, because the riser that has the heater core hose attached, isn't factory.
In the last year, I had to replace the alternator and the capacitors in the ECM.
This was a project truck, so I replaced all the vacuum lines and battery cables, and some emissions parts.
The truck runs great and idles super smooth.
Once in a while, it takes two cranks to start once it warms up, but other than that, no issues.
I had the M5ODR2's clutch, pressure plate, flywheel, slave cylinder and the rear main seal replaced, a couple of months before I put it on the road. I also had to install a firewall reinforcement plate and a shifter rebuild kit.
I RTV'd the plugs in the back of transmission cover and I check the transmission fluid every few months.
I too change the oil and filter every 3000 miles.
It's definitely my dream truck, and it was a good project.
The paint is rough and the seat is rough, but it is what it is.

My '95 Eddie Bauer with the 4.9L and 5-speed just turned over 250k! Only been stranded in it once when the clip on the clutch pedal broke so I couldn't push in the pedal. Otherwise, I've driven it for about half of those miles myself without any major issues. I've had the clutch replaced once, done brakes, tune-ups with plugs and wires, changed all fluids regularly, shocks, front end bushings and ball joints, battery, and I make sure it's clean inside and out! Been a great truck in the 11+ years or so that I've had it, and I'll keep it until either it or me can't drive anymore!!
