Motor mount problems
I have my 87 with the 302, I was having clunking sounds while accelerating, found the pasinger motor mount would hit the cross member. I ordered two new one from rock auto, I ordered the "DEA/MARMON RIDE Control A2564" I picked this brand, it was the second "most expensive" of rock autos choices.
I also found thease are the same mounts the JBG sell, so they felt somewhat reputable. After installation, the engine shakes MORE than before while idling, and the clack is still there. Less, but still there.
I did try to level the mounts in there slots, I guess I'll hav to try again leveling, or are thease bad out of the box? I did check and all the bolts are, still tight. IDK I'm at a loss here. Thanks

IME, original-type engine mounts don't last. I installed this set for a local friend, and now I've built my own:
