Default Manual Trans Bolt-up?

Hey guys,

Been looking around and see a lot of transmission threads, but none with a specific issue like I have here. I am wanting to buy this manual transmission for my 1995 351W F150. It has the E4OD. I realize that I need to install every other component for the manual. A couple people have told me that it will bolt up to my engine. It is from the same generation as my truck, but a 300 straight six engine. Thought I'd ask the pros, will it bolt-up? Will I need to make driveshaft modifications?

Thanks in advance!

Yes they have the same small block bolt pattern for the transmission, 300,302 and 351 so it will bolt up. You will also need the transmission cross member, pedal assembly, hydraulics, flywheel and clutch, manual trans starter and if you choose the computer for a manual trans because you will throw codes for the missing transmission inputs etc. Also either you wire in the reverse light harness from the manual truck or you wire yo your existing auto trans harness. As for the drive shaft if its a 2wd the only thing different is the slip yoke, however I got lucky and got a drive shaft from an AOD to fit my 5spd.

Sounds perfect. From your list, I still need to get the cross member, flywheel, clutch, reverse light harness, and slip yoke for the driveshaft. Do you have a resource that you recommend for that stuff or is a local parts store as good as anything?

As for cross member, slip yoke and harnesses, best best would be from a parts truck or online since those aren't exactly readily available at part stores. Clutch and everything else you can get or order from parts stores, just be sure its a 351w specific flywheel including bolts for it.
