My '92 F150 has a T19 that I would like to have rebuilt. There is a good shop in town but he takes....his time...1 week...maybe 2 weeks.... I am thinking of finding a used T19 to send to him to rebuild, so I would only be without my truck for 2 days - time needed for R&R. It is my understanding that the bell housing is not an integral part of the T19 transmission. If this is true, can I mount any bell housing to a T19? and then there is the spline count....is there number stamped on the transmission housing showing the spline count? Does the same T19 trans work for 2wd and 4wd?
