help diagnose code 334
i got a 334 trouble code on my 5.0, i started by removing the EGR valve to clean it upon removal i tested it to see if it even worked by pushing valve up, putting my finger over nipple the pintle did not stay. i then applied vacuum via my mouth to it and under constant vacuum it stays up. im not sure if i should replace it or not. after that i turned to the vacuum regulator, again i applied vacuum via my mouth to the lower nipple and could hear suction on the upper one. any suggestion on where to go from here?
Test the evp, ur voltage is high when the egr is closed. The egr is open to atmospheric pressure through the evr intell it gets the command the the computer to apply vac to the egr. It is bleeding vac and that is why u hear that sound.
on side note i pulled the lines off the EVR and basically jumped them together while i watched the EGR through the holes. as i connected the lines the EGR opened and the truck idled rough. i removed the connection to the lines and the EGR closed. i opened it again this time left it open to see if it would close meaning bad EGR. it stayed open as long as i had the vacuum lines jumped so maybe my EGR and lines are good and my EVR may not be providing vacuum to open EGR when its needed?
UPDATE: i cleared the codes, and no CEL koeo and no lights at idle the CEL comes on when going about 30-35 mph and goes off next key cycle

Measure the resistance between the evp and vfer. When closed it should be about 5000 ohms. This is on the evp, unconnected from the connection.
vfer to ground is 5 volts.
The evp uses like 1.38 and sends the rest down the sig-rtn.
Do you have a hand vac pump?
