That's not a "tune up". Only carburetors need to be tuned; EFIs re-tune themselves a few hundred times per second.

The list of things that go bad on a vehicle that's abandoned for >3 years is pretty long, and it gets MUCH longer around 5 years. Click this, read the caption, and continue reading the NEXT through the whole photo album:

all of what you said. also inspect the fuel lines to make sure they don't have any cracks. also check you air intake for rodents and bird nests. check coolant, might want to drain that too because its sat still for so long. if all that checks out good then give her a whirl. if it starts and runs it probably will run like ****. sitting for that long there is no way it would run well enough to drive without further repairs

I’m not a master mechanic either.😅

However, it’s easy to over look the brakes and suspension. The cylinders in the rear brake drums can pop open and leak. On my truck I also replaced:
-U joints and carrier bearing
-ball joints (with adjustable camber sleeve)
-brake pads
-wheel bearings

pretty much all of the bushings with grease.

If the gauges are funky the old grey points on the back can be resoldered. It just restores the conductivity. Helpful if you want to see the rpm while your driving around and tuning it up.

The a/c condenser can drag ALOT if it’s all dry and rusty.

... and the last thing I can think of are a couple of sensors. I think that there are two on the tranny, one can make it run/ shift rough “clank” at low speeds. The Chilton manual lists all of them for the engine.

Ohh and the whole throttle body is pretty easy to take off and clean. You can get a couple of gaskets, a can of carb cleaner and an IAC valve for $15.
