Default Heater hoses

Not sure where to post this but plan on replacing my heater hoses amd relized there is no T running back into the top of the radiator. There is a spot for it on yhe radiator but its been plugged. Whej i do my coolant flush this qeekend, shiuld i include a T??

Lines get hot but feel rather crunchy when squeezed firmly and heat works.

If it's working, why are you messing with it? Replacing the hoses is NOT on the maintenance schedule:

And crunching them is either breaking off rubber particles into the coolant (which will stop up the radiator & heater core) or separating the rubber from the reinforcing cords inside (causing future leaks & blisters). You should stop.

Since you have NO information about the truck in your signature or post, there's not much we can tell you. Click this & read the caption:

This shows 2 configurations, but IDK if either matches your truck:

And as a general rule: NO, you should not add anything to the engine or its peripheral systems. Read the article linked in that last caption about the coolant system.
