Fuel pump prime occasionally does not work
OK, so I have been having an intermittent problem. Every once in a while [it seems to be random and only when the engine is cold], when I turn the ignition to the on position, the fuel pump does not prime. I hear some clicking noise in the engine bay, the gauges work, and the engine will crank but not start. It will eventually work but sometimes it is days. On one occasion [and only once so far], it woud not stop priming! Once it starts up I have no issues with the pump - it runs fine and will continue to restart - the issue only seems to occur when the truck has not been driven for a while - like overnight.
Any ideas? I read in another post where someone had a priming issue where it continued to run and it turned out to be a computer issue - not exactly the same issue here - but maybe??
Thanks
