So I've heard of something a few people are doing to their trucks, and it involves a semi-flex fan? I've never heard of these, but I was curious, do they help cooling at all? I know one kid who put one on his '93 with a 302, and he did it just because to him it sounds like a "supercharger whine" (it doesn't, and he has no idea if it helped cooling at all, he just did it because a friend of his told him to). Just thought I'd ask and see if I can learn something about them lol.

A flex fan is to allow a fast revving muscle car to rev faster and the fan can unflex and catch up later. And reduce weight.
Your truck is not a muscle car and it will not rev up like one even if you take the fan off.
The fan you have (clutch) is the best one for a truck. Don't waste your money.
