Default F150 head swap

Broke a bolt off in my head and autozone got me the wrong replacement. So I'm stuck with no head and 60 bucks for my core.... looking to swap to aluminum and wanted some ideas or recommendat ions. Thinking about ford x306 but intake is a issue. It's stock 5.0 95 f150 5 speed 4x4. Help please lol

Should be able to pick up a used E7Te head for next to nothing and just get the valves redone for 100.00.
Aluminum is very nice though if you've got lots of money to throw around.

all ford windsor small block heads are essentially the same. all ford windsor intakes bolt up to them with no issues. the only heads to stay away from are the GT40P heads that came on some explorers. the exhaust manifolds were different due to the port differences because of the spark plug relocation. even still if you get a set of those heads, you just need to also pick up the proper exhaust manifold or headers.

that said, check out the swap meets, you can probably find some nice aluminum heads that someone is selling because they are upgrading, or as noted you can pick up a nice set of E7 heads from someone that is swapping to aluminum.

truth is that you dont need aluminum heads unless you are going to be building a decent street motor or race motor for your truck.
