Default Exhaust Modification

Hey fellas. I got a 94 F150 4x4 with a 5.0. My truck's current exhaust is run through dual cats and no muffler into a y pipe with a rear exit. It runs with a slight growl but im looking for that in your face rumble. Any suggestions? A buddy of mine told me that the dual cats were stock on my truck and VA law is pretty strict with emissions so Im not sure what the best way to go about modifying it is. The lower the cost the better.

I purchased the American Thunder kit for our trucks from Summit Racing. It did set me back 450 bucks but the quality of the kit was nice! I have a SWB truck and the kit came with the longer tube for the longer wheel base trucks. After I first installed the kit it did sound stock with the 2 cats on it. I noticed that the pipe leading into the 2nd cat was 3 inch, same as the pipe for the cat back leading into the muffler. So I cut the second cat off and used the pipe for the extended cab pick ups and cut it to length. Worked perfect and gained some nice sound! On a side note, the muffler in the kit was a 50 series which isent supposed to be loud anyway

I figure some time in the future I can buy a louder muffler in the single inlet/dual outlet configuration.
