I'm a fan of Valvoline Maxlife ATF in the E4OD. It's synthetic and high mileage. The best of both worlds in my opinion. Very good stuff. And for the record, I have zero brand loyalty. I'm loyal to what works.

However, if you have a fresh rebuild, the transmission should be clean and all you should do is a drain and refill with your favorite synthetic fluid.

On a side note, have you changed the gear oil in your differential(s) yet?
No, was going to do that at the same time and transf case as well, any good suggestion on what to use for those?
Really appreciate the info

I'm a fan of Amsoil Severe Gear for the differentials. If you're not towing regularly or doing anything extreme, go with 75w-90. If you are towing regularly or doing extreme stuff, go with 75w-140. Regardless of which brand you go with, follow these guidelines to select the gear oil viscosity and you'll be ok.

As far as the transfer case goes, go with the same ATF that you're using in your transmission.

Hope you don't mind the questions, but they are invaluable to me on this truck since you have similar..
