Default E4od to C6

What all is involved in swapping my E4OD out for a C6? It's a 93 f150 4x4 302. Trans went out tonight when pulling an f250 out and I've heard the C6 is a much better trans than the E4OD. Would this swap be worth it? I find myself pulling out 3-4 vehicles a week so I don't want to be replacing E4OD's every month or so. Will my stock 1356 t case work with a C6 out of a truck with a 351? What about my driveshafts? I did get the truck for free from my ex boss, and my uncle told me to just scrap the truck because I got it for free but j actually like this truck a lot and want to keep it on the road.

The E4OD is electronically controlled, the C6 is hydrologic controlled. I'm not sure the effort but I'm thinking it would be a PITA to switch over.

E4OD is basically a C6 with an extra gear. They are strong enough to go behind a 7.3 diesel BUT the early ones 92 - 3 - 4 (that would be yours) had issues and were upgraded, by the time you got to 95 -6 they had the kinks ironed out but your computer won't run the newer versions.
But when you have yours rebuilt, you can add the upgrades to make it a really dependable transmission..
Lots of buts there, but you can get that transmission to perform properly, probably cheaper than trying to convert to a C6. And you save a lot of fuel having that 4th gear, which makes the E4OD a better option.
