Hello all new to the site. I am having trouble with a 1993 6 cylinder two wheel drive e4od. The problem is the truck will go into reverse and first gear only it will not shift into any gear I have changed the MLPs sensor and the VVS sensor I had the transmission rebuilt less than a year ago and it drove fine. I drove home from having dinner with friends park the truck got in the truck to go get coffee the next morning and it would not go into gear. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

Is the shift cable stuck? I had a similar issue and it turned out to be a frayed shift cable. It would only engage R, N and Drive. Pop the end off the selector lever at the transmission and see if the shift lever will travel through the whole range of the selection.
