Differential swap
I really don't know if I can do this but if I can't I'll find out. What I'm doing is taking a 1992 F-350 Sterling limited slip 10.25 rear differential and swapping it into my 1994 F-150 XLT. I want to use the F-350 rear springs. The F-350 differential has a 4.10 set of ring and pinion gears. Once installed Ill compare the driveshaft and splines on both ends and take a measurement of the drive shafts. The current Ford 8.8 rear differential is not limited slip and has a gear ratio of 3.55. I'm going to use the 1994 automatic overdrive four speed trans and not the 1992's automatic transmission. My F-150 has rear anti-lock brakes and I haven't really checked if the rear 10.25 has this feature. Ill check once the temperature outside rises a bit. So far, I've replaced all the dashboard plastic such as the instrument cluster bezel and instrument cluster clear plastic face. I have removed the entire interior to see what I can replace, repaired or modified. I'm also working to remove all the frame rust and POR-15 everything. I'm going to replace all the body mounts under the Bed and Cab. One problem I am having is finding the proper radiator support bushings. Ill post pictures as soon as I can download them from my cell phone.
I'd start by measuring the frame widths and the spring widths on both trucks and both axles
I've seen similar swaps, but the spring perches get modified IIRR
I think the F350 frame and axle have wider spring perches and the frame on the F350 is wider too
Not sure about that but you measure either way
Yes, that 92 should have a RABS sensor ring in the axle that will work with your F150's speedo and the E4OD trans

Thanks for the advice and I will measure before I remove rear springs and differential. To be honest I assumed it would have been an easy swap. Measure, before I get into trouble.
