I recently pulled the engine from my 1990 XLT Lariat 302 5.0 to weld some of the frame on it. While it was out, I figured I would do a smog delete because the system wasn't functioning. Now, the truck runs and drives, but randomly dies. I did a complete smog delete, so all the TADs and such were removed and I put 75 ohm resistors in their place. I capped off the vacuum lines where those things attached and confirmed that there are no vacuum leaks. When I go to touch the distributor while the car is running, it shocks me if it gets close. Also, when the IAC is plugged in it has a loud whining noise. I am super confused what is wrong with it, could it be something with the distributor like the plug wires? Thanks for your help this forum has saved me so many times already and I am counting on it again!
