Clutch Issues
Ok I know this is going to sound crazy but to give you an idea of what I have going on... I have a 99 Wrangler and other than that i've always been a ford guy particularly mustangs. When the 4.0 in my jeep went out I got the bright idea to do a 5.0 motor swap. Basically it's a 5.0 with F150 Bellhousing, Centerforce Clutch Kit, Slave, Master and so on. Jeep worked fine for around a year and then all of a sudden the clutch started going. Within 5 min it was getting closer to the floor until it would start pulling itself with it on the floor. We end up putting a new slave cylinder in it and it worked fine for about 300 miles and then the same thing happened again.
Naturally i can't keep putting slave cylinders in every 300 miles but not sure what else to do. Is there any chance this sounds like something in the clutch itself? I feel like it's in the hydralics since the slave replacement fixes it but it's only for a short period of time. Since it's all F150 stuff I feel like it shouldn't matter what it's sitting in. Any ideas?
