I'm rebuilding a 300 inline 6 and I was assembling the pistons and I broke a piston ring I don't want to have to buy a whole new set is there any place that sells just one or a single piston set

 

Try checking with a local machine shop. You could also try calling the manufacture. Be honest and explain your story. They may be willing to help you out.

nope it will cost as much for a single ring set as it will a whole kit... was it a top ring or second ring you broke?

if it is the 2nd ring and the rings are the same size as the old one just use an old one... if it is the top ring then you're pretty much stuck buying another set...
