Cross posting here since I didn’t read the “How to” section sticky. . .

I’m hoping to get some advice on my latest issue. I’m currently having the exhaust system redone on my 1994 F-150 and decided to go with the BBK Shorty titanium ceramic headers (3510). While the headers seat up fine to the block, the exhaust outlet is about 3 inches while the factory manifold outlet (and corresponding inlet on the y-pipe) is so small that it can almost fit inside.

Based on everything I’ve read, people use these headers on this year of truck all the time. Is my truck just special or is there an adapter that everyone is using to make this work?

Any insights appreciated and if I come up with something that works I’ll follow up.

The 5.0 and th4 5.8 have different exhaust output flange sizes
You got the headers for a 5.8 and you have a 5.0?

Thanks for the reply. All the literature I could find said the 3510 is for the 302. Now you have me wondering if the wrong header got sent.

Double check my answer just in case
Look up factory manifolds for your truck and see the differences
It used to be only the output flange that was the difference
Highly unlikely but maybe someone put a 5.8 Y pipe on the truck and 351 exhaust manifolds
More likely they sent you the wrong headers
