Default Accelerator sticks?

I have a 1992 5.0 4x4 xlt lariat ext cab and I am at a loss. The problem is that I can be at a complete stop, take my foot off the brake and with out hitting the gas I can hit 45 mph.it is a slow acceleration. I have sprayed carb cleaner in the TB and on the cables and no luck. Any help would be great. Thanks

Well I don't have the gage to tell me the exact number but when the truck is in gear it idles fine, but out of gear it sounds like someone is stepping on the gas.

Update: today the truck started up and rev'd high then dropped down to what I assume to be normal it still accelerates on its own and after driving then putting it in park it idles ok. It does sound like it's going up and down if that makes since but it could just be a fan..... I'm thinking of replacing the throttle body itself and see if that fixes it

Sounds like the TPS to me. I would just clean the TB, no need to replace it yet. While you have it off check the TPS sensor. Just search on here or Google for great write ups on how to. If you do replace it, use Motorcraft. I've learned these trucks don't like aftermarket sensors. Actually I just replaced my 2 month old airtex TPS for a Motorcraft because I was still getting erratic idle.
