88 ford bronco 351 in 95 f150
I have a 1995 f150 5.8 351w that needs a motor. I found a rebuilt motor on Craigslist for a 1988 bronco 5.8 351. Just need to know if the motor will work in my truck.
Thank you.
Thank you.

If you install everything from the 95 on the other motor that is required.

Ok I finished installing the new engine in my f150. I went to try to start it but it won't crank. All the grounds are tight, starter is new. Everything powers up, guages and everything. There is one thing i found is that the distributor is different then the one on the 1995 engine I took out. There is a wire on the engine harness that would plug into it but with the distributor being different and from a different year.
Should I have swapped over the distributor too?
But would that be the problem of no cranking?

check the small connection at the solenoid on the fender that energizes it., Assuming that is good, make sure it is in neutral / park & try jumping from that post to a positive, usually the battery and see if it spins. Any chance depending on stick or automatic, that the neutral safety switch / clutch switch didn't get hooked up?

^^^^ Yes. Just take something metal and bridge the two large posts on the fender mounted solenoid together. Depending on whether the starter spins the engine then, that will tell you which direction to proceed.
