8.8 Diff ?
Anyone had one apart? I've done 9 inch and 10 bolt and Dana's but not had the 8.8 apart. The nut holding the yoke came loose. So I retorqued it. Not sure why it came loose. But the real question is did it do damage inside. And the shim under the pinion gear, is it a solid shim, or a crush washer. If a crush washer like the AMC 20's and some others, then when I tightened the nut down, it will have changed the gear mesh. If it's a solid shim then it didn't.
