Default 302 to 300 switch Will it work

I have a 92 F150 Auto, 4x4 that blows oil all over the place. It also has a pretty good miss in the motor. I have access to a 95 300 motor that runs strong and is hooked to a 5 speed tranny 2wd. Will this motor bolt up to my bell housing and what about computer. Is this a viable switch. The 95 is wrecked so I can get all the patrs I need but not sure if it is doable.
Thanks for the help TonyT

Yes its possible, but you will have to swap the engine harness as well as a compatible computer for it to work properly. If you are keeping it auto 4x4, then you will need a PCM for that year, that engine and drive train combination.

You will also need a flex plate to bolt to the 4.9 for the torque converter.

Default doing the opposite, 302 to 300

hi, i have a 92 f150 2wd single cab long bed auto with the 4.9. i have a 93 f150 4wd single cab long bed 5 speed with no motor ( had a 302). i want to swap in the 300 in place of the 302. is this viable? so far i've gathered that i need to use the motor mounts and frame perches from the 300, thats about all i've gathered. i'm not much of a mechanic but my friend is pretty good and has a garage and tools. any advice would be appreciated. thanks so much, James
