Will a zf transmission cross member fit an m5r2? I am working on switching to 4x4, I have the transmission but only have 2wd cross member. I have only found a zf cross member and need to know if it will work for my transmission. thanks

A small block 4x4 ZF5 will work with a 4x4 M5R2 crossmember, but the M5R2 crossmember is very very different looking and mounts completely differently than the ZF crossmember. I would imagine M5R2 crossmembers would be everywhere - they were the only manual option in F150's in the 90's.

The only one I found around here is from a diesel powered f250. I have one from an aod but it won't work.

The application list is almost always stamped into the crossmember. Clean it & read. Some can be installed reversed for more applications, so check both sides.
