Default 1990 f150 squeak when shifting

Just got a 1990 with a 302. It makes a short squeak or chirp when shifting particularly when shifting up into second or third. Is this normal? Any thoughts on what it might be?

very possible the serpentine belt is the culprit. glazed belt or weak tensioner.

After a bit more playing around, I notice the noise occurs as I let off the clutch. It seems like it is as whatever engages engages (forgive me. Not a mechanic). If I hold the clutch in that position the noise continues. Could that still be a serpentine belt thing, or does it sound more like a clutch issue?

A clutch/pressure plate throwout bearing problem typically makes noise when the clutch pedal is just pushed in a little, and no noise when the clutch pedal is fully out and usually fully in.

Can usually get by with this for quite a while, but it will eventually fail - meaning no need to wig out, but put it on the list of things to do within a month or two or if the noise level should change suddenly.

Might be a good time to inspect and consider clutch replacement, pressure plate resurfacing, and or slave cylinder replacement while things are already apart...
