The only other thing i replaced was the fuel pump relay, my pump wouldnt cycle off after the initial prime, causing overpressurizatione, even with the new regulator. Its in the same spot as all the other switches on the driver side by the wheel well. I nelieve it was green and also $5

It has been said several times, I think you could get better help here if you went to the auto parts store and rented a fuel pressure gauge. That would allow you to better diagnose your problem instead of just buying parts. My local O'reilly Auto Parts loans it for free.

Started her again when she ttyed to die and sputter out I gave it gas and it made it worse. Then I'd let off the gas and it would get a little better but still sputter out and die. Also it has a new fuel pump relay.

Update: I checked for codes it has 23 and 33. code 23- throttle position sensor-incorrect signal. code 33- egr valve not opening. Could either of these codes be the problem?

I installed a new TPS today and it made the truck start and run alot better, but it still dies after a couple of minutes.

Haven't read the whole thread, but based on that code for the EGR I would be looking at the EGR diaphragm, and the vacuum lines to the EGR and the solenoid that controls it.

UPDATE: I took it to my local shop and they bypassed the dual tank selector valve. Now it runs, but the lifters are knocking and it burns a little oil. going to put some lucas additive in there and see if it does anything.
