Default Why the difference in brake hoses?

why such a difference?! Truck is 90 f150 2wd. The new hose has connections for 2 hard lines which my truck doesn’t have.. I have confirmed the correct part number.. I can’t use the old one, I had to cut it… I would like to know what’s different on the system for future knowledge.

some of them only used one hard line to the front wheel coming from the master, the side port was where the line branched off going to the opposite front wheel

would anything else on the system be any different from another 1990? Obviously I have a diverter before the hose then instead of that being the block.
