Default u joit

U joint cross does not seem to fit can some one please tell me if I am meant to grind the cross on edges Or. ??

You need to remove the bearing caps and then it'll fit. Then insert the bearing caps through the outer hole of the shaft and press them back together.

you have probably discovered that the roller/pin bearings may not stay in the cup...if not - be aware that you need all the bearings in the cup, some grease may make that easier, as one missing or flat to the cap will render the joint useless in short order.

The bearings under the cup are called 'needle' bearings. Good call above about making sure none are excluded!

Watch some youtube videos of how to install. The important take away is "centering' the cross in the yolk. If not center, it will not rotate smoothly and will prematurely wear the bearings.

I do not have any resources to share with you, but take a look at more than one, unless you get the feeling that the YouTuber is qualified to be posting a tutorial.
