Hello Gents, I just got done doing spring buckets, shocks (Bilsteins all the way around) and springs (Pro Comp level springs) on my 95 F150 4x4 single cab short bed V8 5.0. My ride is a lottttt rougher. I know it should be alittle stiffer bc of the new springs but I didn't think it would be this rough especially matched with these new Bilsteins. Also last August 2014 I did 2 U-Joints in the front axle. I didn't go the 3rd inner U-Joint on the right side. March 2014 I did all 4 driveshaft U-Joints. Any ideas why the rides so harsh?! Next thing on the list is a steering stabilizer. I don't think that's going to take care of the rough ride just the bump steer. Would new body mounts make a different in ride?

Body mounts separate you from the harsh vibrations at the frame. But if you put in really stiff springs and shocks, you're going to get a rough ride. Basically the purpose of the suspension is to absorb that, but if they don't move, they can't absorb.
The upside is you can corner like its on rails. It's a trade off.

These shocks are supposed to produce the softest ride lol. Are pro comp springs really that stiff?

From my experience, when you level the front using just springs or spacers it reduces upward travel and changes the geometry for overall movement. That front suspension is built for a certain size spring, and we stretch it out. Think of how much effort was required to just get an inch or two taller spring into place.
