Replacing Coolant Temp Sensor
1992 f150 302. My engine would sometimes crank for awhile before starting if the engine was warm so I'm going ahead and replacing the coolant temp sensor.
the old sensor looks much different but I called the Ford dealer in town and got confirmation that what I have is the new updated part and # (got part off rockauto).
My question is the new part requires me to splice a new connector on, no big deal except the new plug has 2 white wires off it and the old plug went to a white wire with red stripe and a green wire with brown stripe. I'm thinking maybe it doesn't matter which wire matches up with what but I want to be sure.
What's the proper way to hook up this connector given the colours?
