Default Leaf Spring - U bolt mounting plate

Hello,

I need to get a new mounting plate for the leaf spring U-bolts to attach to. I'm looking at Rock Auto and my LMC truck catalog and I can't seem to find them.

Here is the LMC catalog. I'm looking for the part that the #2 bolts go through, the plate that sets on top of the leaf springs.

This isn't the best picture, but as you can see in the far left of the picture, my plate is pretty much rusted away.

Hit a wrecking yard. Lots of those in real good shape. I've got a few kicking around, but I'm in southern Ontario.
Anyway a wrecker will only charge you 5 or 10 bucks for a good one

Not a bad idea. I didn't even know what to call the part, but I finally came across this. Does anyone have any experience with this? They appear to be a quality part.

Pretty rare to see them rust right out. They're pretty thick, and they're down where people can see them to wash them off ?
I think the OEM ones are better than the ones in the picture. Noticed the shipping on those is $50 ?
Seriously, a wrecker will charge you like $10 - 20 just for the trouble of taking them off for you. They usually just get crushed. Hardly anybody ever needs any.

Hmm, shipping shows $7.50 for me. I will call around to a few yards, it's almost tough to get something that old anymore. However, I know they used them for quite a few years, so that makes the search a bit easier.

Here is a picture of one of mine.

Well I got the ones off ebay, as none of the yards around here seemed to be that helpful.

Does this look better now?
