Brake/transfer link?
Vehicle: 1993 F150 XLT 4.9L Inline 6
Yesterday I tried to switch from 4x2 to 4x4 and found the lever to be stuck in 4x2. I rattled the lever and noticed a twitch in the brake pedal. I applied a lot of pressure to the lever and shifted to 4x4. At that exact moment the brake pedal sank to the floor. I looked under the vehicle and noticed that the rear left brake line had burst and was leaking fluid everywhere.
Yesterday was below freezing here.
Has anyone hear of this happening before? Is there a link between the transfer hydraulics and brakes or is it just a coincidence?
