Axel Pivot Bushings
What kind of axel pivot bushings are a good choice, and how are is it do install, is going with polyurethane going to eventually get very squeaky or is it not that noticeable?

I used Moog rubber axle pivot bushings in my 1996 F150. They can be difficult to remove, I rigged up a long bolt and receiver cup. Do a google search and you can find many threads about removing them.

did you have to take the axel all the way off to do it? Maybe I'm wrong but it seems like I should be able to just undo the bolt at the pivot bushing? is that wrong

i used my ball joint press, made the removal/install very easy. i did mine when the springs were out and they were easy. just pried the inner end of the swingarm down and did them. i also used the moog bushings..

Just call me sean. Really
I used Energy Suspension poly bushings in mine. Cut the old rubber bushing out, leave the metal sleeve around the factory bushing in the arm. The poly bushing slides into the existing sleeve.
2.5 years/25k miles, no a peep out of them, and they really help the front end feel more solid. Added bonus is that they are easier to install than new rubber bushings

Energy BLACK is the only way to go. If you install them properly with the supplied silicone grease, they should never make noise.
