It was my understanding the frames are the same, except the engine cross member up front. I think the weak link in your truck would be the axle.

Although I get what your doing, your not trying to haul more, but haul the same amount better. In that case you should be fine, your just loosing ride comfort empty the more springs you add.

By everything I've seen and what I've always heard the frames are the same at least on the 150's and 250's.

My truck is a 93 f150 with a 4.9l straight 6 and id like to do a f250 axle swap sometime but i want both front and rear I think if im going to have to go threw all the work with the front end i might as well solid axle swap for 1ton axles. I leave for bootcamp in september so i wont have much time to do it.

I drove a buddies truck that has the SAS, It's on my list of stuff to do. He is running leafs in the rear from a 150 with a bastard pack. He stuffed an extra leaf in the pack under the main leaf. The front is an after market coil from procomp which is 2 inches over stock.

Hello and good morning.

The frames are NOT the same. Just go to any boneyard and you will see the difference.

150's and 250's are roughly the same(yes i've looked, never found much difference except between years) though I believe 350's are different I haven't looked much into them.

Same basic frame design but I believe the f250/350 frames were made thicker/more rigid

That may be true, I haven't measured the thickness of them.
