Alright, it is time to get a new engine for my 83 302. Everyone is telling me crate engine is the way to go. I don't know squat about engines but my buddy does and is willing to help me out. Has anyone purchased a crate engine that you can recommend? I am wanting this bad boy to last till I die so I am looking for quality. Much appreciated!

 

No experience with a 'crate' engine but have used remans here.

Figure the attractions either way are time-savings and warranty over going through a rebuild yourself.

No recommendations on sourcing either type.
