Default Resistance Reading on the Temp Sending unit?

I have a bad temp gauge in the dash. But the sending unit still seems good. The truck is in the middle of being brought back to life from being stored for awhile. And I have some concerns about engine temp. Until I get the chance to replace the gauge, my jackleg plan is to hook up an ohmeter to the sending unit as a temporary gauge. Easy enough to check what "Cold" is, but I have no idea what operating temp is equivalent to. Is there anyway I could convince someone to go take a drive in their truck until it's good and warm and let me know what reading they get? Or is there a reference in a manual somewhere I'm missing? 87' F-150 XL with 302/5.0 fuel injected.

According to my shop manual, the specs are:
50 degress(f)=58,750 ohms
65 degrees=40,500 ohms
180 degrees= 3600 ohms
220 degrees=1840 ohms

Wow, better than hoped for! That a Ford manual, or a Haynes/Chilton? I couldn't find anything in mine.
