Default Long tube headers

93 F150 ,5.0, 4x4 , Dana 44. Looking for recommendations on long tube headers that will clear out of the box if possible. It’s an open chassis right now so no issues with shoehorning anything in. Thx

I recommend factory exhaust parts. Headers will not benefit the truck in any measurable way, but they do damage in several ways, and require more maintenance.

Let me add that I’m currently building a 302, .030 over with GT40 heads based on an older build thread here. Headers will give me better exhaust flow correct? How is that bad? Thx.

Not enough to notice. It's like putting in a larger lower radiator hose - yes, it ALLOWS slightly more flow, but the rest of the system is still gonna limit the flow. And even if you changed EVERY other part of the system - exhaust flow isn't what makes power or efficiency. Displacement is. Until you go to forced-induction, or nitrous. Where are you gonna stop? There's ALWAYS something "better". But each one comes at a cost: money, effort, hassle, weight, fuel consumption, durability, maintenance, street-legality... The stock engine made PLENTY of power with the best overall compromise of all those factors. If you JUST maintain it properly, it'll keep on running for the LEAST overall cost. You've probably never driven that truck when it was running right, so TRY that first, before you try to out-engineer Ford.

I get it. I barely factor cost anymore. If I gain a few HP, ok. If not, meh. This is my sons truck that I’m finishing while he serves. The mechanicals were due for an overhaul so improvements were done without going crazy. So, in the end , I’m not asking whether or not on LT headers, it’s WHICH. Thx for the advice. Duly noted.

Check out BBK, use some shorties, you'll see some benefit.

I am currently running a 302 with gt40 heads and HED-89350 headers and enjoy them. One of the flange brackets just slightly touched the front driveshaft but a small bend fixed that. I would advise some better gaskets than the ones it comes with though.
