Default Engine upgrades?

What options are there for upgrades for a 96 f150 5.0 based on the obdII EFI system I've seen intake manifolds, heads, and cams. But EFI is picky so not sure what I can add to make some good pulling power without having to mess with the computer.

OBD II is much more friendly to upgrades and will adjust accordingly. Gears will move your power to where you want it. Intake and exhaust will help your truck breath easier until you change the heads and or camshaft.

What about going gt40 heads? Is that worth it for a towing truck? Just trying to extract power without compromising reliability.

One cheap upgrade you ll feel is ditching the stock fan for an electric fan.

The gt40 heads will add horsepower and some torque. Great cheap changes would be your camshaft, changing axle gear ratios, better exhaust. Since you have a mass air obd II system on your truck, it will adjust to the changes and upgrades pretty well.

At the moment I have flowtech headers, magnaflow highflow cats and dual flowmaster exhaust.
