Ok. Finally! I got this figured out. Such a simple thing yet it was eluding me and driving me nuts.

Without going in to detail of how I figured it out, and how inept I feel for not being able to get it done sooner... here's what it was: The hose that goes from the radiator to the overflow... or where it connects to the radiator. Well, the barb on the radiator this hose slips over had too ridges on it... looks like from the molding process. I scraped those ridges off with a knife and installed a new hose clamp and boom! No more loss of coolant and the coolant that ends up in the overflow gets sucked back into the radiator as things cool down. I believe it was actually an ineffective hose clamp combined with the ridges.

Thanks for everyone's input.
