Check engine light INTERMITTENT 1994 V8 302 5.0
Havent had any trouble then we took the vehicle up towards the mountains. After a long drive on a steep grade the check engine light came on. Drove the vehicle back down and after a while the light became intermittent.
I let the vehicle sit for for a couple days then drove it on normal terrain, a little hilly, and after the vehicle warmed up (I would say HOT) after about 15 minutes of driving the light began to come on then off. Once it does this it seems to be having trouble shifting (automatic tranny) It has an overdrive switch.
Im reluctant to attempt getting the codes as the process seems pretty complex and my understanding is that unless the light is on at the time it won’t work. Any thoughts?
