93 5.0 missing under heavy and light throttle
Hey guys,
I just brought my f150 back from the shop today from my oil pan replacement.
I have the truck set at 10 degrees timing Now. It's doing a lot better now.
but when in park going to revv it up, around 3500-4000 rpm it'll start stuttering and will not rev past.
also driving it home today it was fine until I started up hills with light throttle, it started missing and bucking a little at this point Unless I gave it some more gas, or let off all together.
other than that it ran perfect.
it does have long tube headers on it at the moment with no exhaust. Before I replaced the distributor with my long tubes already installed it didn't do this.the only code there is, is the one for the 02 sensor. Granted it was fine before I replaced the distributor.
edit: the truck has been sitting for about two years prior. Before it sat I had replaced both fuel pumps, fuel filter, did a complete tune up with timing chain.

I would tend to say that that O2 sensor code means something. If your computer is not set up to run without the sensor, its going to run funky regardless. Try resetting the computer and see if it grows any ***** after that. Im by no means an expert on the computer side of vehicles, but I know this.. The basic concepts of how it works are the same. Your engine needs the right information to run right. Not having the sensor can largely impact that. I would explore that route.
When I had my exhaust changed they couldn't get the old o2 sensor out and put a different one in. I had a problem where by a few miles from home it would bog right out and I would have to practically floor it to get it to go. CEL was coming on.
Eventually put the right sensor in and it cleared right up.
