92 ford F150 fuel system problems.
I traded my running 2003 cadillac seville for my 1992 F150 extended cab Lariat and I'm happy.
Its a loaded out truck with lotsa accessories. 5.0 Automatic nice stereo and dual tanks.
The fuel system has been hard to figure out. I picked it up not running. it looked like the front and rear fuel pumps had become crustaceans and weren't any good. I also noticed that the tank selection switch was apart and looked badly worn. The fuel filter was fastened with regular hose champs and didn't use the special connectors anymore. after After installing both pumps then a second and a third in the front tank including a a new tank the vehicle was still not driveable. I replaced the tank selector switch and was able to drive the vehicle around the neighborhood but not without having to switch the tanks from front to rear then back to front. After determined diagnosis effort, I've let it sit for a couple of months. now after this time, it runs a little further but only with switching the tanks. Aside from being unsafe there's no chance for a drag race, I'm just lucky to get it home. Note I replaced both of the check valves, Fuel pump relay and put yet another fuel tank selector switch. Non substantial results have developed. Any associated services have been performed.
