Default Turbo?

I want to throw in a 70mm turbo out of a 7.3l into my 4.9l. I know it wont spool as much as it would in a 7.3 but I expect it to spool a little bit. Does anybody have a rough guess on how much boost you think thatd push? and also I don't have the money to build up my 4.9l with forged internals so how much boost do y'all think it could take without bending a connector rod, cracking a piston, or lifting the head?

I saw a Video on YouTube of an old f150 with a 7.3 turbo on it. The only thing they did to the engine was install the turbo. It's a back woods install for sure. They said they got 11lbs of boost. I'm currently rounding up parts for a possible twin turbo 300.

Also, there is a guy with a turbo maverick that has a stock 300 in it. It says he changed the oil pump and valve springs. He runs "up to" 25lbs of boost with completely stock internals. The donor engine had like 124,000 miles on it.

Good to know!! And also I know the idle speed sensor and the throttle position sensor are inside of the throttle body. Do they work off of vacuum? Because I'm thinkin that I could just run a hose out of the compressor right into the throttle body. My theory is it'd work. But any thoughts would be helpful.

Not sure about the I6 but the TPS on my 302 is on the underside of the throttle body, not in it, and no vacuum. Just a fin and a plug.

Me too. I don't think the positive pressure through the throttle body would affect anything. If you think about it, at idle everything would be normal with negative pressure in the TB/manifold. But as soon as I start pushing positive boost I don't want it to persuade the sensor into telling my truck that I have it to the wood. I don't think that'd happen but I guess there's only one way to know for sure.
