Default How do I tighten the power steering pulley?

My old serpentine belt is a bit worn. So I relaxed it but the now one likes to hop off at the power steering pulley, which also happens to be loose. So I’m just trying to figure out how to tighten the pulley and hope that that’s all the problem is.

The pulley is pressed on, if it's loose something is about to break off.

What exactly do you mean by "loose"? Does it wobble? Or do you just mean the shaft slides in-&-out slightly?

The pulley itself moves in and out a little bit. But I used the tool needed to tighten it. And in the process found out that the water pump pulley was actually what was messed up.

That's the pump shaft - not the pulley. It's normal for it to have high endplay, as long as it doesn't wobble, rumble, or grind.

well the Reason For deciding the pump was bad is because the pump shaft was wobbling. Not like an in and out play wobble. It moved up and down. Which I’m pretty sure it’s not supposed to do.

Sorry - I was still on the PS pump; not the water pump. Yes, it sounds like the WP needed replacement.
