Wonky Tailgate Light Bar
Have a 2022, Eco and have recently purchased a LED light bar - the type that installs under the tailgate. It has a flat 4 pin connector. Tested it "dry", worked great so I installed only to find that the turn signal part of the bar gets wonky if my headlights are on. Dug a little and found that these bars don't play nicely in plug-and-play mode with modern trucks that have BLISS (blind spot safety stuff) and OEM rear view cameras. The manufacturers say you need to hard wire into tail lights to get proper function out of the bar. Crazy stuff! I hate to do electric as I don't really speak that language. Also, don't want to take any chances with my warrantee. Anyone know if there is a workaround such as tapping into a aftermarket wiring harness?
