I want to mount some flush mount backup in the bumper of my 2014. If I cut the bumper, will it cause the chrome to peel or rust around the holes I cut?

Tape over the holes before you drill them to reduce stress and cracking of the finish. Before you install any hardware, give the holes a quick shot of clear coat or rust inhibitor to seal off any gaps between the chrome and the base material.
