Default Upgrading Low Beams and Fogs

I've searched and read and some of the information is dated, new products on the market etc etc. Desperately need some input on upgrading from stock 18 Sport Halogen system to an LED system. These lights are terrible and it was said the lights are the only reason the F150 did not get a 5 Star Safety rating. I know this is beating a dead horse to some but any help is greatly appreciated. -Shane

Diode Dynamics SL1 or Morimoto 2 Stroke 2.0 if you insist on led... proper hid retrofit still will outperform pnp led.

Which are best for stocking housings or do I have to change out for either?

I put Techmax LED in my highs & lows and I’m very pleased with them so far. Radically better than stock halogens.

i went with DeautoLED switchable for the fogs.

Both are made for reflector halogen housings for headlights. I believe DD SLF is the foglight series bulb

I got Carrover leds for my low and high beams and Beamtech for my fogs. They are all made for halogen headlights. You will also need larger dust caps(83mm) for your highs and lows. You will need the canbus canclers also. I got them for the lows and highs. I think they were around $12 per set. The dust caps were about $20 for all 4. The fogs were $25. You will have to make a cut in the boots for the low beams when installing the canclers.(top lights) make sure you silicone where you pulled the wires and cancler through. You can zip tie the cancler(capacitor) to something near the head lights. The lights look great and I haven't gotten any high beam flashes from on coming traffic. It lights the road up so much better now! All the light colors match and look luxurious now like a $40k truck should look. Got everything on Amazon.

Several quality suppliers and sources on the market. I do like
for their knowledge base and information.Selling a variety of brands they do specific recommendations for year class. Great source for information. I did buy from them, Supernova V.3 high and lows, for my stock XL reflector housings. Installed thru fender well, and later added deep dust-covers by removing the units from the front, both methods were close to the same time and effort. No extra canbus adapters were needed, the stock dust-covers did fit tightly so I up-graded to 85 mm Tomall covers. Big improvement and I think better than several HID setups I have owned or seen.

Low Beams stock at 25 feet.

Supernova V.3 low beams at 25 feet.
Once installed do check the aim. KM

In my 2018 XLT the 83mm dust covers did not fit. Seems like I need 85mm as flagged in some other posts. I only did the low beams.
